“Shikiyoku no Hate” (also known as “The End of Desire”) is a Japanese crime film directed by Mio Ezaki and starring Takashi Fujiki, Kaku Takashina, and Ken’ichirô Sugiyama. It is a dark and violent story of a serial rapist and his accomplice, who prey on various women and evade the law. The film follows Jun Aisaka, a handsome and charismatic man who has a compulsive desire to seduce and rape women. He targets different types of women, such as a married woman, a student, a widow, and a dancer. He uses his charm and deception to lure them into his trap, and then brutally assaults them. However, his crimes do not go unnoticed by the police, who are determined to catch him. They assign two detectives, Takagi and Yamada, to track him down. They manage to arrest him, but he escapes from prison with another inmate, Samu. Together, they form a partnership of crime, robbing and raping more women. The film culminates in a violent confrontation between Aisaka and the police, where he is finally cornered and shot. He dies in the arms of his last victim, Yoko, who had fallen in love with him despite his abuse. The film ends with a bleak and ironic note, where Yoko says that she will always love him.
